The ever gracious Chart Attack have premiered the new video for Saxsyndrum’s Maceonectar, a vibrant and pulsing saxophone odyssey visually narrated by none other than Frances Adair McKenzie.
For me, listening to this piece is like a walk at sunrise (post-meditation) through a tropical aviary. The bird song elements and their disarming inorganic quality are what inspired the video’s looping, giffy style and the bright, bouncy, flickering and lo-fi aesthetic. – Frances Adair via Chart Attack
Maceonectar was first unvelied in October on XLR8R, taken from their new SXD_EP, released November 4th. Head over to our shop and get a copy of the limited edition cassette!.
Chart Attack have premièred the first single off of ¡FLIST!’s debut album, Fuck You Im Dead, the Sun Records inspired romp through the entropy of budding love.
I wrote and recorded this song in my parents basement while visiting for Christmas in 2009. I had just made a mixtape for my younger brother and couldn’t shake Carl Perkins‘ slick and laid-back performance in “Her Love Rubbed Off.” I just wished the song stayed in the dirty shuffle it starts off in! The lyrics were pulled from many different points in my life, always tying back to the feelings of inadequacy, lust, and mania attributed to budding love.
You can pre-order the album through an IndieGogo featuring exclusive content for contributors including an art-book of ¡FLIST!’s past decade, original artwork, and an urn box set.
